Class overview

Fresh economy

Forever launches a fresh level-60 economy alongside more than 600 new profession recipes. Early gathering materials, crafting inputs and newly useful recipes should therefore matter, but their actual prices and demand will be measured rather than guessed.

Earn intelligently

Gold-making coverage will focus on repeatable in-game methods: gathering, crafting, questing, exploration and market awareness. Blizzard says exploration itself can award gold as well as experience and achievements, while the expanded profession system creates additional material and recipe demand.

No fantasy profits

Routes, material values and market strategies will be tested before gold-per-hour claims are published. Prices vary by realm, ruleset, phase and player behaviour, so dated observations will be separated from genuinely repeatable methods.

GUIDE STATUS

Built to stay accurate.

Confirmed systems can be documented now. Tuning, drop tables, market values and performance rankings remain clearly provisional until they can be checked against the live game.

Launch economy: an evidence-led approach

Pre-launch planning, checked 22 October 2026. Forever's updated professions and more than 600 new recipes create potential demand for materials, but no honest guide can quote stable launch-week prices before players begin trading.

Three ways to build early capital

  1. Questing and exploration: keep useful quest rewards, learn which items you actually need and compare the value of selling unwanted loot rather than spending time chasing an unverified route. Blizzard has confirmed that exploration can grant experience, gold and achievements.
  2. Gathering: if you already travel through an area for quests, collect nearby profession resources where available. Track sale prices and time spent to decide whether your route produces worthwhile returns.
  3. Crafting: check who uses the finished item, which ingredients and profession skill level it requires, and whether the sale price covers material costs and transaction fees. New recipes are not automatically profitable.

How to judge a profitable craft

Estimated net profit = sale price − material cost − applicable listing or sale fees. Use actual in-game observations for all inputs. If materials are hard to obtain or sales are slow, a large listed margin may not reflect what you can reliably earn.

First-week price-check routine

  • Record item name, profession skill requirement, ingredients, observed material price, sale price, date and ruleset.
  • Compare several observations rather than treating a single listing as the current market.
  • Check whether you personally need the materials for skill-ups, Camping features or Legacy Challenges before selling them.
  • Avoid unsupported gold-per-hour claims. A route is ready for recommendation only after timing, inventory costs and actual sale results have been tested.

Profession and Legacy links

Legacy rewards include profession skill milestones, while Camping introduces profession-made camp features. Those systems provide reasons to progress tradeskills beyond immediate sales. See Professions & Camping and Legacy progression before committing to a profession pairing.
