Choosing professions
Blizzard says Forever adds more than 600 recipes across professions and level ranges. Profession choices will therefore be judged by levelling utility, crafting access and endgame value rather than a single universal pairing.
Economy matters
Blizzard's 21 October Camping guide confirms that a Basic Campfire is available through Cooking skill 1 and can host three additional camp features, with one contribution per player. First profession camp features become available at skill 20 through quests or trainers. Higher-tier features requiring skill 140 or above come from dungeon and raid drops. Camp features share a one-hour cooldown; players gain buffs after sitting or crafting nearby for at least one minute.
Verification first
Confirmed camp objects include First Aid Kit (Stamina), Fishing Bowl (8% stats), Alchemy Mana Well (Mana regeneration), Blacksmithing Sharpening Wheel (Strength), Enchanting Enchanted Lute (armor/stats/resistances), Engineering Reagent Bot, Herbalism Incense Candle (Intellect), Leatherworking Camp Tent (rested XP), Skinning Camp Chair (critical strike), and Tailoring Faction Banner (Spirit). Many buffs are mutually exclusive with class buffs rather than stacking.
Professions are a major Legacy route.
The six non-gathering primary professions provide 18 of the 65 launch Legacy Points through skill milestones at 150, 225 and 300. The Professions tree also includes perks for skill-ups, scarce gathering resources, vendor costs, commerce rewards, Cooking, Fishing and profession progression.

Non-gathering primary tradeskills award Legacy Points at 150, 225 and 300 skill, with 18 profession-category points available in total.
Confirmed Legacy perks affecting tradeskills include Working Overtime, Bountiful Harvest, Bartering, Master Chef, Luremaster and Dedicated Study. Blizzard has also named the Azeroth Commerce Authority and Durotar Supply and Logistics as major sources of new tradeskill activities.
Camping works through a shared Basic Campfire: players can contribute one feature each, up to three additional features initially. A minute of resting or crafting grants eligible buffs; higher Cooking campfires eventually support five or ten objects. Camp-feature buffs may be mutually exclusive with Paladin, Priest, Shaman and Druid class buffs, so do not promise they stack. Blizzard has now published a detailed item-and-benefit table.
Rechecked 22 October 2026 against Blizzard's 21 October Camping overview and existing Legacy announcements. Profession camp features and buff exclusions are confirmed; profitability, recipes and live pricing still require launch testing.
