ABOUT RISEN ANCIENTS

Games built in public. Guides made to be used.

Risen Ancients is an independent gaming project covering original games, practical guides and the stories behind development. We share what has been built, what is still being tested and what players can use right now.

WHO WE ARE

Independent by design.

Risen Ancients is an independent gaming, media and guides project run by Tom, known online as dankarie. It grew out of playing survival and base-building games and wanting to do more than finish a game and move on. The Gaming side develops original projects; Media shares streams, videos and devlogs; Guides offers useful routes through difficult bosses, systems and progression. Those are three parts of one project, not three large companies. We publish real progress, including setbacks, and distinguish working releases from prototypes and ideas.

THE THREE PARTS

What you can find here today.

01ORIGINAL GAME DEVELOPMENT

Risen Ancients Gaming

Our closest-to-release game is Serpent's Path, an Android puzzle game with 100 distinct, validated campaign levels and continuing procedural challenges. It is currently in device testing, not on sale. Unthreaded is a separate 3D mechanical puzzle project in development. Bloodhold and Heresy Falls remain longer-term works in progress. We describe each honestly so an early prototype never masquerades as a finished game.

02STREAMS & DEVELOPMENT STORIES

Risen Ancients Media

Videos, streams and short clips come from games we play and projects we build. Twitch carries longer sessions under dankarie, while the Risen Ancients YouTube channel and short-form platforms share gameplay and development. Our blog records what changed in the builds and why. A larger creator network remains a future ambition, not an existing programme offering partnerships or payments.

03PUBLISHED PLAYER RESOURCES

Risen Ancients Guides

We publish boss strategies, levelling decisions, building and production advice for games including V Rising, Valheim, WoW Forever, EverRail, Alchemy Factory and Satisfactory. A useful guide should answer a player's question, explain why a choice works and show what to do when it fails. Guides for unreleased or changing content are labelled accordingly; we do not present unconfirmed details as established facts.

TRANSPARENCY MATTERS

Built, tested and revised in the open.

Games do not arrive fully formed, and neither do useful guides. Serpent's Path has gone through level validation, performance improvements and Android testing. The site shares development reports as well as the finished-looking pages. For guides, we separate confirmed game-version information from strategy recommendations and explain uncertainty where mechanics or updates are not yet verified. We also revise incorrect material when issues are identified. This page does not claim that every published guide comes from personal hands-on testing.

OUR EDITORIAL METHOD

Useful first. Longer only when needed.

01CREATE

Start with the actual question. A boss guide should help someone find the encounter, recognise the dangerous attacks, prepare sensibly and recover from common mistakes. A factory guide should explain workable steps and trade-offs, not just describe what a machine does.

02CONNECT

Check game versions and sources. We use official updates and available game information to distinguish confirmed mechanics from assumptions. Hands-on testing and original screenshots are added where available. When something cannot be verified, it should be stated rather than invented.

03AMPLIFY

Make the answer navigable. Guides are organised around preparation, mechanics, decisions and next steps. We link to related guides when they help, keep images readable on mobile and avoid padding pages just to reach an arbitrary word count.

04GROW

Maintain and correct. Games change, especially around major patches. We review relevant pages, update outdated advice and welcome specific reports of errors. Published dates and review notes should reflect meaningful work, not an automatic freshness badge.

These are places to start with content you can explore today. Serpent's Path is in testing rather than released; the published V Rising guides and our development blog can already be read. For video and streams, use the linked channels in the site footer and Media section.

Follow the work. Judge the results.

Start with a published guide, read a development update or see what is happening with Serpent's Path. The work is evolving; the distinction between available, testing and planned will always matter.
