Prepare for the Plains' devastating Forsaken, survive Yagluth's fire and magic attacks and open the path toward the Mistlands.
5× Fuling Totems · Very resistant to Pierce and resistant to Fire · Torn Spirit ×3
Forsaken Power: 50% lightning resistance, +25 Farming skill and +10% damage dealt for 300 seconds.
Yagluth is a major late-game durability check. Bring upgraded Plains-tier equipment, your strongest practical food, fire resistance barley wine and fully repaired weapons. Clear nearby fulings and deathsquitos before summoning, because apparently a gigantic undead king throwing fire from the sky was not enough entertainment.
Use a strong blunt or slash weapon. Pierce is heavily resisted and fire is also resisted, so do not build the fight around either. A good shield remains useful if it suits your combat style.
Drink Fire Resistance Barley Wine before committing to the encounter and use your strongest Plains foods. A balanced health/stamina setup gives room to survive meteors while still repositioning.
Clear the altar surroundings and learn where the large stone fingers provide useful cover. Avoid fighting with nearby fuling villages or roaming Plains enemies still active.
Yagluth combines heavy close-range damage with dangerous fire and ranged magical attacks. Stay close enough to deal reliable damage when safe, read his telegraphs and use the altar terrain to reduce exposure to attacks from above.
Fire resistance dramatically improves your ability to survive Yagluth's sustained fire damage. Refresh it before the fight rather than discovering mid-combat that optimism is not a potion.
Watch Yagluth's animations and glowing effects. His major attacks give warning, allowing you to reposition before the dangerous area arrives.
The large stone structures around the altar can help break exposure to ranged attacks. Keep cover accessible without trapping yourself against it.
Do not spend your entire stamina bar attacking. Preserve enough to move when meteors, fire or positioning force you out of your current damage window.
Defeating Yagluth awards Torn Spirits, which are used to build Wisplights and Wisp Torches. These help you push back the Mistlands' obscuring mist and begin exploring the next biome effectively.
Fire resistance is a priority. Bring your strongest Plains-era food and healing, learn the major attack telegraphs and use available terrain or cover without trapping yourself.
Avoid stacking the whole group in one position during large area attacks. Rotate damaged players out of close pressure and keep recovery supplies distributed across the party.
Return Yagluth's trophy to the Forsaken altar to unlock his Forsaken power. Your next major destination is the Mistlands, where new resources, magic systems and The Queen await.
