3× Dragon Eggs · Fire is the key elemental weakness · Dragon Tears ×10
Forsaken Power: constant sailing tailwind, +300 carry weight, +10% movement speed and 50% frost resistance for 300 seconds.
Moder combines a dangerous boss fight with one of Valheim's least forgiving environments. Prepare cold protection, upgraded Mountain-tier equipment, strong food and plenty of ammunition before making the climb. Establishing a portal below or near the summit can save a spectacularly miserable recovery run.
Bring a strong bow and fire-focused ammunition or weaponry, plus a reliable melee option for grounded windows. Wear Wolf-tier cold protection or otherwise ensure frost resistance before the summon.
Use three strong Mountain-era foods with enough stamina for repeated repositioning and ranged attacks. Frost protection must already be solved by equipment or another reliable source before the fight.
Clear nearby drakes, wolves and stone golems before summoning. Learn the terrain around the altar and avoid leaving yourself boxed against steep cliffs or awkward rock formations.
Moder alternates between aerial pressure and grounded attack windows. Keep moving while she is airborne, use the terrain intelligently and switch confidently to melee when she lands if the opening is safe.
Keep Moder in view during the aerial phase. Reposition early when an attack is incoming rather than waiting until the projectile is already occupying your personal space.
Ranged damage keeps the fight progressing while Moder is airborne. Fire deliberately and preserve stamina so you can still move when required.
When Moder lands, melee can provide strong damage opportunities. Watch her animations, attack during safe windows and disengage before greed replaces judgement.
Mountain slopes can interfere with movement and attacks. Fight from terrain you understand and avoid being forced downhill into additional enemies.
Defeating Moder awards Dragon Tears, which are used to build the Artisan Table and open the next tier of crafting and Plains progression.
Bring cold protection, a strong bow with ample ammunition and a dependable melee weapon for landing phases. Flattening or clearing awkward terrain before the summon can make movement much safer.
Use multiple angles during the aerial phase and avoid clustering when Moder lands. Players with strong melee setups can exploit grounded windows while ranged players maintain safer pressure.
Return Moder's trophy to the Forsaken altar to unlock her Forsaken power. With the Mountains behind you, the Plains become the next major progression target and Yagluth awaits.
