Polora the Feywalker V Rising boss guide artwork

Polora the Feywalker is part of the Risen Ancients V Rising 1.1 boss-guide progression. This guide covers where to find the encounter, the attacks that matter, a practical Normal strategy, Brutal Mode considerations and the progression rewards.

Location and preparation

Verified 1.1 level: 35

Finding Polora

Polora occupies the Gleaming Meadows in western Farbane Woods.

Use the V Blood tracking interface to locate her, then approach the meadow at night where possible.

The surrounding area contains useful plants, including Blood Rose, Snow Flower and Fire Blossom. Leave enough inventory space to gather resources after the encounter.

Unlike Goreswine or Lidia, Polora doesn't require you to follow a long roaming route. Her encounter is contained within the meadow.

Attacks and abilities

Key attacks

Spirit Wave: Polora sends three spirit projectiles in a wave pattern.

Spirit Wolf: a spirit wolf travels in a straight line and can bounce repeatedly between targets. It damages you but heals Polora or her summoned spirit if it hits them.

Fear: at close range Polora channels before fearing nearby targets.

Invisibility: she disappears briefly and gains movement speed while repositioning.

Pixie summon: after losing roughly a quarter of her health, Polora begins summoning Pixies that add ranged spirit pressure.

How to beat Polora the Feywalker

Positioning matters because Polora's spirit attacks can heal her when they collide with friendly targets. Avoid standing with Polora or a Pixie directly behind you in the projectile path. Kill Pixies when their pressure becomes disruptive, but do not chase every summon at the expense of damaging the boss.

Brutal Mode strategy

Brutal difficulty strategy

Full-circle projectiles and additional summons

Polora's Brutal encounter introduces two significant changes: Spirit Wave becomes a full 360-degree projectile pattern, and she summons two Pixies instead of one. Her healing is also substantially increased.

Normal versus Brutal

Mechanic | Normal | Brutal

Spirit Wave | Three forward projectiles | Full circular wave

Pixie summon | One Pixie | Two Pixies

Healing | Standard | Increased

Recommended positioning | Medium range | Greater spacing and careful angles

Summon management | Important | High priority

Recommended Brutal adjustments

Keep enough distance to identify the gaps in her circular projectile attack.

Prioritise eliminating Pixies when their presence is allowing repeated healing. If you can damage Polora and a Pixie simultaneously with an area attack, use that opportunity.

Avoid summoning additional allied creatures unnecessarily, particularly skeletons, because they can provide more targets for her bouncing and healing projectiles.

Preserve a defensive ability for situations where overlapping spirit attacks leave you with limited movement options.

Rewards and unlocks

Rewards and castle gardening

Defeating Polora unlocks several gardening options, allowing you to establish a more organised source of plants at your castle.

Polora's rewards

Unlock | Purpose

Tier 1 Illusion Spell Point | Develop Illusion magic

Garden Foundations | Create dedicated garden areas

Garden Hedges | Decorative landscaping

Large Growing Plots | Organised plant cultivation

Growing Plot Collection | Additional garden construction options

Minor Garlic Resistance Brew | Helps prepare for garlic-heavy locations

Which Illusion spell should you choose?

Polora's Tier 1 Illusion point can be spent on an available option such as Spectral Wolf, Phantom Aegis or Wraith Spear.

If you already selected Phantom Aegis through Grayson, consider using the additional point to diversify your offensive spell selection rather than duplicating your existing role.

Establishing your first garden

Once you've returned to your castle, establish a small growing area using the unlocked plots.

Prioritise useful plants rather than filling the entire courtyard with decorative vegetation. Although, admittedly, an enormous vampire fortress surrounded by carefully maintained flowerbeds has a certain appeal.

A sensible initial layout includes:

Suggested starter garden

Blood Rose

Healing-related crafting.

Snow Flower

Alchemy ingredients.

Fire Blossom

Potion ingredients.

Mourning Lily

Useful for early crafting.

Plant seeds you've gathered from the world and harvest them as they grow. This reduces the need to repeatedly travel around Farbane collecting the same resources.

Editorial note: Vampire Waygate

Older Polora guides list the Vampire Waygate as one of her rewards. This is outdated for newer progression systems, where the Waygate is unlocked through a castle quest instead. We will not include it in Polora's current reward table.
