Verified 1.1 level: 50
Meredith patrols the Haunted Iron Mine, occasionally moving a short distance outside.
She travels with two Militia Longbows and attacks undead encountered along her route. This regularly brings her into conflict with Kriig.
Before engaging, identify a section of the mine where you have enough room to dodge her arrows.
Clear nearby enemies where practical, but don't accidentally attract Kriig while preparing the encounter.
Direct encounter
Separate Meredith from other enemies and fight her using the strategies below. This is the better approach for learning her mechanics.
Kriig-assisted encounter
Allow Meredith and Kriig to fight each other, then attack the survivor when safe. The outcome varies and should not be treated as guaranteed.
Arrow Shot: Meredith's standard ranged attack.
Deadeye: predicts the player's movement and fires a heavy shot that incapacitates on hit.
Dash: Meredith can dash repeatedly, damaging targets she passes through.
Summon Guards: from roughly half health she calls two guards into the fight.
Arrow Barrage: fires ten arrows upward that fall around her and can stun targets they hit.
Keep moving unpredictably so Deadeye cannot easily lead your path. Clear summoned guards when they begin restricting movement and avoid standing in the centre of the barrage pattern. Kriig also inhabits the Haunted Iron Mine and can fight Meredith, sometimes leaving one boss weakened or dead.
Exact 1.1-exclusive attack modifiers require verification
The current sources establish Meredith's core attack pattern, but the precise additional Brutal-only mechanics are not consistently documented. We'll avoid presenting an unverified projectile count or new ability as fact.
The following approach remains useful against her established attacks.
Enter at or above the recommended gear level.
Separate Meredith from unnecessary mine enemies.
Eliminate her two starting escorts where possible.
Preserve Veil for Deadeye or a dangerous dash.
Wait until her complete dash sequence finishes before attacking.
Immediately manage additional guards during the second phase.
Keep a defensive spell ready when several projectiles overlap.
You can, but his explosive skeletons make the encounter unpredictable.
Players have reported both bosses winning their encounters, although Kriig is frequently reported as the survivor on Brutal. These are community observations, not guaranteed outcomes.
If you intend to use the interaction, remain far enough away to avoid becoming the target of either boss.
Once one falls, wait for a safe opportunity to approach the survivor.
Meredith grants a Tier 1 Storm Spell Point and the Holy Resistance Potion recipe.
