Jade the Vampire Hunter is part of the Risen Ancients V Rising 1.1 boss-guide progression. This guide covers where to find the encounter, the attacks that matter, a practical Normal strategy, Brutal Mode considerations and the progression rewards.

Location and preparation

Verified 1.1 level: 57

Finding Jade

Jade patrols the roads of Dunley Farmlands.

Use V Blood tracking to locate her current position rather than assuming she will appear at one fixed point.

Because she roams, the location where you begin the fight matters considerably.

Choosing a suitable battlefield

Look for a relatively open stretch of road with enough room to dodge her ranged attacks.

Nearby rocks, trees and other obstacles can provide useful cover, but avoid positioning yourself somewhere that restricts your movement.

Check for militia patrols and other roaming V Blood bosses before engaging.

A particularly unfortunate way to fight Jade is to accidentally involve another vampire hunter. One is quite enough.

Attacks and abilities

Key attacks

Shot: Jade's basic ranged firearm attack.

Silence Shot: a red bullet that temporarily prevents attacks if it connects.

Caltrops: ground hazards that damage and stun when stepped on.

Bomb: dropped at close range to punish players who stay beside her.

Invisibility: Jade briefly disappears and repositions.

Deadeye: a tracking precision shot telegraphed by her voice line.

Machine Gun: a rapid six-shot sequence used from roughly half health.

Chaos Barrage: four Chaos projectiles used in the later fight.

How to beat Jade the Vampire Hunter

Normal difficulty walkthrough

Opening: Establish cover

Locate Jade and choose your engagement point.

Begin with ranged damage, then observe her first attack.

Avoid immediately charging towards her.

Where available, use natural obstacles to interrupt her line of fire.

Precision attacks: Time your movement

When Jade begins aiming, prepare to move.

Avoid dodging unnecessarily early.

A well-timed change of direction is often more valuable than continuously sprinting around the battlefield.

Explosives: Keep moving

When explosives appear, prioritise leaving the affected area.

Don't remain in place to finish another Longbow attack.

If Jade combines ranged pressure with an explosive, preserve Veil for the more dangerous part of the sequence.

Close the distance carefully

After Jade finishes a major attack, use the opportunity to approach.

Deliver a short Greatsword combination and retreat before she begins another ranged attack.

Avoid chasing her into unexplored sections of Dunley.

Maintain damage

Use Chaos Volley and your Longbow between her attacks.

Your objective is consistent damage rather than attempting to overwhelm her through prolonged melee combat.

Finishing the encounter

Keep enough health and defensive options to survive another ranged combination.

Don't abandon your established strategy simply because Jade has little health remaining.

Brutal Mode strategy

Brutal difficulty

On Brutal, Jade fires more aggressively and her regular firearm pressure can inflict additional control effects, often following her Silence shot. Use open terrain, preserve movement for Deadeye or rapid-fire sequences and do not chase through caltrops or explosives.

Rewards and unlocks

Rewards and progression

Jade unlocks Veil of Chaos, the Advanced Blood Press, Primal Blood Essence, Elixir of the Crow and Pistols.
