V Rising 1.1 boss guide for Gaius the Cursed Champion, covering location, key attacks, Normal and Brutal Mode strategy, rewards and progression.
Gaius the Cursed Champion is fought inside an arena whose safe circle contracts. This is not just a contest of who deals damage faster: the arena boundary and the knockback interaction are part of the intended tactical problem.
Enter the Colosseum with a reliable movement option and at least one displacement tool if your build permits it. You want to control where both fighters stand as the available floor disappears, instead of concentrating only on the boss's attacks.
