Two Weeks That Changed Risen Ancients

Two weeks ago, Risen Ancients was still putting the pieces of its wider ecosystem together. Since then, our website has gone live, Serpent’s Path has moved significantly closer to its first Android release, our game guide library has expanded, and our social presence has grown.

Serpent’s Path: the road to Android

Our gothic mobile puzzle game has been the main development priority. We have audited all 100 levels, improved level previews and progression safeguards, and tested several APK builds on physical Android devices. Touch selection, head-facing direction, settings, pause behaviour, artwork and tutorial presentation have all received attention.

The game now has its Serpent’s Path identity, a crypt-inspired backdrop, refined mobile UI and a production audio system covering 14 events. But it is not quite ready to launch. Licensed final audio is still needed, monetisation requires store configuration, and we must complete release signing and final device checks.

Player feedback has been particularly useful. Levels 1–19 feel like an extended introduction, while level 20 is the first puzzle that consistently makes testers stop and plan. We are using that feedback to assess the difficulty curve.

What about Bloodhold and Unthreaded?

Bloodhold’s vampire survival prototype remains intact, including the vampire controller, interaction framework and early blood resource and construction systems. We have clarified that it is a mobile-first project, rather than trying to develop PC and mobile versions at the same time.

Unthreaded, our screw puzzle project, is paused while Serpent’s Path takes priority. Procedural level generation remains its next major milestone. We have plenty of game ideas, but finishing one matters more than starting five.

Risen Ancients has a home

Our new site, risenancients.com, is live on Webflow. We have been improving the blog archive, guide hubs, artwork, layouts and individual game pages. Search Console is helping us understand how Google discovers the site, including early appearances for World of Warcraft: Forever queries.

Game Guides keeps growing

World of Warcraft: Forever is still an important focus, with updates restricted to confirmed information. We have also developed Valheim boss guides and a substantial V Rising boss guide collection. Factorio has moved through its first four guide phases, Raft through five planning and production phases, and Alchemy Factory has its own original artwork. Outward Station is in preparation, while Project Zomboid guide work is awaiting suitable imagery.

We are deliberately staging publication rather than dumping every prepared page onto the website at once. We are also creating original artwork where necessary, so the guide library does not depend on unlicensed game images.

Gaming, Media and the community

Risen Ancients Gaming, Media and Game Guides are developing under one identity. Our social channels now include YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Bluesky, and we are experimenting with turning genuine Serpent’s Path testing footage into promotional content. On the Media side, we continue to plan a practical creator programme rather than rushing into promises we cannot yet deliver.

What happens next?

The immediate goal is to finish Serpent’s Path for Android: finalise audio, complete monetisation setup, resolve release requirements and run the last physical-device checks. Alongside that, we will continue publishing and improving guides, tracking search performance and building a more useful website.

Two weeks ago, Risen Ancients was largely a collection of ambitious plans. Now there is a live website, an expanding library and a game approaching release. There is plenty left to do, but that is meaningful progress.
